Keynote 1: Speaking to Dominate the Corporate World

The origins of IEEE and PES are rooted in communication technology.

One could say that the forefathers of our organization believed that communication would power the future.

Here in 2020, we know for a fact that their belief was valid.

But the question today is how can you power your own future through communication?

The simplest way to it is not through the power of technology, but through the power of your own voice.

Today’s keynote speaker is going to tell us how he was able to accomplish this.

In August 2019, Aaron Beverly emerged as the winner of the Toastmasters International Speech Contest, an annual public speaking competition spanning across 6 continents and involving over 30,000 competitors worldwide.

Like many of us in attendance, Aaron considers himself to be shy and introverted. He once hated public speaking, but now, Aaron is able to use public speaking and communication to thrive.

Aaron has spoken to audiences at Fortune 100 companies such as Vanguard, and Wells Fargo; as well as notable Universities such as Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania.

He has traveled to engage international audiences in countries including Taiwan, India, the United Kingdom and the extremely foreign land known as Canada.

Lastly, he has used the fundamentals of communication to power his corporate career as a project manager and trainer. Today, he will share with the Global Student Congress how to do the same.
