John McWilliams

John is a Senior Innovation Engineer at Dairyland Power Cooperative in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He has over 40 years of experience of electric utility experience on projects spanning the globe. He has had international assignments in Saudi Arabia, England and Malaysia and has worked in over 50 countries. His current work involves electric vehicle integration into the distribution system of member cooperatives.

He has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. He is the first person to earn a graduate certificate from Iowa State’s Biorenewable Resources and Technology program. He is a Senior Member of IEEE-HKN, a professional engineer licensed in Wisconsin, and an ABET program evaluator for electrical engineering, He serves on the Alumni, the Outstanding Chapter Award, and the Professional Member subcommittees for Eta Kappa Nu and is a FIRST Robotics robot inspector. He lives on an acreage near La Crosse with his wife, Jane.
